Welcome to Leaders Lift - a podcast for aspiring and existing leaders!
I'm your host, Greg Cunningham and I look forward to being a part of your leadership journey.
Thank you for tuning into this Leaders Lift shorts episode.
Today I want to share a few lessons I learned and also recommend a book. The book is the Dog Poop Initiative by Kirk Weisler. There will be a link to his website in the show notes.
Lessons Learned
Avoiding the problem is a choice but it is not a solution
Lot's of folks are experts at avoiding the problem
Leaders take initiative
The don't always have to solve the problem (see my blog post from 12/22 for more details on that) but they should ensure the problem is solved
Sometimes the simplest solutions make all the difference
Being a leader makes a difference
In the short term
In the long term
For those watching us (and there are always folks watching us)
Best way to teach is by example
Sometimes it is something very small that needs to be corrected for the team to meet their fullest potential
