Episode 23

23: Fear Keeps Us from Moving Forward

Summary

After last episode about feeling lost, I spent some time thinking about how fear contributes to feeling lost and several of the other things we have been discussing of late. So this week, I follow up on episode 15 (which was a deep dive on fear) and talk about how fear distracts and paralyzes us.

Approximate Time Stamps

Key Takeaways

  • Fear can distract us from what is most important
  • Fear can drain our wells
  • Fear can push us into our comfort zones where it is so easy to become complacent
  • Fear can make us feel trapped (feeling like we don't have a choice)
  • Fear can contribute to our feeling lost, especially if we have a new path in made but are afraid to make the change
  • Fear paralyzes
